Sharon Ann Beck Hickman of Rock Hall, Maryland died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Christiana Hospital Center in Newark, DE. She was 67.
Mrs. Hickman was born on July 27, 1944 in Rock Hall, MD. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie L. Jacob Beck. Mrs. Hickman was a 1962 graduate of Rock Hall High School. On December 12, 1964 she married Ronnie Hickman. They made their home in Rock Hall, MD. Mrs. Hickman drove a school bus for 12 years before changing her career as office manager for Wyble Enterprises where she worked for over 20 years. She retired and enjoyed devoting her time with the Ladies Auxiliary of Sgt. Preston Ashley American Legion Post #228, serving as financial secretary at Rock Hall united Methodist Church, and current President of the ladies Auxiliary of Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Hickman was very devoted to her family and community.
In addition to her husband, Ronald B. Hickman, she is survived by her sons, Chuck E. Hickman and wife Wendy of Rock Hall, MD, and Michael C. Hickman and wife Kristine of Rock Hall, MD along with seven grandchildren, Jennifer McKinney, Kylie Stiteler, Meggan Fletcher, Jordan Hickman, Zachary Hickman, Ella Hickman, and Isabella Hickman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. 130 Speer Road Chestertown, MD where relatives and friends may call on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery following the service.
