Rachel Johnson of Centreville, MD died at the Corsica Hills Nursing Home, Centreville, MD on Sunday, July 22, 2012. She was 95.
Born May 7, 1917 in Centreville, MD she was the daughter of the late, Matilda “Tillie” Johnson.
She spent her entire life caring for the Hopkins family of Centreville and for the last 15 years she lived in Corsica Hills Nursing Home where she thought of the staff and residents as her family. The loves of her life included crocheting, knitting and cooking and just loving life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Hopkins of Preston and nephews, Charles Johnson and his wife, Lorraine of Millington, MD and Peter Johnson and his wife, Dorothy of New Castle, DE. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Martha Dudley and Rebecca Johnson.
